The Va'a World Sprints 2016 will be the largest ever and for the first time include Elite and Club Championships.

The Sunshine Coast location is exceptional and the area an outstanding stand alone tourist destination. The Australian National OC6 Marathon Titles are also on the Sunshine Coast at Mooloolaba the following weekend.

It is time to talk to your fellow paddlers, coaches and clubs. Spread the word and start forming your teams. If you are looking to make a team and need paddlers post details on Facebook and include #VaaWorldSprintsMakeATeam.

Qualifying and Registration

The IVF Va'a World Elite & Club Sprint Championships 2016 are run on behalf of the International Va'a Federation and event registration is provided through the IVF World Sprints Site.

An Area Co-ordinator is appointed by each International Va'a Federation Member and manages the qualifying and registration process. Area Co-ordinator details are available on the Area Co-ordinator page of the IVF World Sprints Site.

IVF Event Registration Time Line

Aug 2015Invitation Letter Sent for Va'a World Sprints 2016. Talk to your fellow paddlers, coaches and clubs. Form teams spread the word, start training for qualifiers.
From Aug 2015Nominate for your Qualifying Event. IVF Members run individual qualifying events and will issue qualifying event details. Notify your Area Co-ordinator of your Intent to Compete. Your Area Co-ordinator is the key contact. Train hard, compete and qualify.
01 Sep 2015Intent Submissions Open. Online submissions for Area Co-ordinators via the IVF World Sprints Site.
05 Jan 2016Intent Submissions Close. Intent Fees Due, USD$10/paddler.
06 Feb 2016Therapeutic Use Exemptions Submission Open.
26 Feb 2016Therapeutic Use Exemptions Submission Close. No late forms can be accepted.
05 Apr 2016Paddler Registrations Close. Balance of registration fees due - no refunds apply. Late paddler additions on the member roster incur a 100% late fee. Paddler replacements on the member roster at no charge.
15 Apr 2016Para Va'a Documentation Submission Close.
22 Apr 2016Scratch Close / Late Entry Open. Late Fee Applies USD $100.

Registration Fees

World Elite Championship:USD $100 per paddler
World Club Championship:USD $80 per paddler

World Elite Championship paddlers who also paddle in the World Club Championship only need to pay a single USD $100 fee. V1 Paddlers who just paddle V1's only need pay a single USD $80 fee.
